At Your Place: During normal times, Tom’s Help Desk technicians will come out to your home or business to provide the necessary services or to consult with you about your computer needs. Tom’s Help Desk will send out a technician where remote support is not possible, as long as your home or business provides sufficient protection and protocols as per CDC guidelines.
At Our Place: Tom’s Help Desk store at 2115 Allentown Road in Quakertown in the Milford Village shopping center is currently assisting all customers in-store at this time. Customer support is by appointment only for onsite, remote and in-store services.
Remote Access: Tom’s Help Desk uses secure remote access software that allows us to diagnose, repair and tune-up computers remotely.
About Our Founder: Tom Merrick founded Tom’s Help Desk in 2005, recognizing the growing need for dependable computer support among home computer users, small businesses and people working from home. Tom received his degree in Electrical Engineering from Drexel University in Philadelphia and has been installing and fixing computers ever since. With over 30 years of experience in Information Technology, Tom is as familiar with vintage computers like the Commodore 64 as he is with the latest multi-core processors. (He admits to still owning the Timex Sinclair that he used to write his first computer program!) Tom is proud to have served as past President of the board of directors at the Upper Bucks Chamber of Commerce, past President of the Quakertown Tip Club and is the past President of the Skippack Business Owners’ Association.
